BUILDING UPDATE

Plans for the construction of the Children’s Wing has continued to be a work in progress.  Bro. Ronnie Driskell has been in touch with the contractors and there have been some architectural changes that needed to be made in order for the builders to have a good set of blueprints to go by.  When we return, we will have a Sunday School Teachers/Leaders meeting to discuss how we will proceed so that we can basically evacuate the left side of the church where construction will begin.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL UPDATE

Mrs. Michelle Driskell will be contacting VBS workers to discuss a possible date in July to have our summer VBS.  We are looking at July 12-15 as a possible timeline.

MUSIC NEWS

I would like to remind the choir and praise team to keep listening to your practice CD’s.  We have made CD’s for the youth and children’s choirs of the four songs that we will be singing in the Fall with the Adult Choir and Praise Teams.  I pray that you will let these songs minister to you and your family during this time that we are away from each other.  I cannot wait to see everyone and start up our choir practices again!

SICK & HOMEBOUND

Joan Howard is improving slowly.  Please continue to lift her up in prayer.  Please call the church office, 692-3024 if you know of any of our members that are sick or in the hospital.

CHURCH ONLINE

Thank you for engaging with us online through our website and social media. We’ve consistently been reaching 150-175 people each Sunday morning on our live-stream. Several of our videos have been viewed more than 1,000 times and we have been reaching hundreds of people through your comments and sharing of our Facebook posts each day.

We’ve heard from many that we have begun to experience some glitches with our live-stream on Sundays. We will be working on a solution for our lack of internet speed soon. Know that we are continuing to work to make our live-stream better and to keep each other connected through the technology we have at hand. Below are instructions for how to view our live-stream service.

1.)    Log-in to Facebook and go to the page Pilgrim Home Baptist Church. You’ll see our blue and yellow logo on the page.

2.)    Scroll down the page to the area called Posts and look for the live video.

3.)    If you clicked on the page before 11:00 and nothing is showing up, click the refresh button at the top of the page or close out the page and load it again until you can see the video.

4.)    If you are unable to watch it live, we will post the video on our Facebook page at 12:00 for you to watch again or watch with your family later.

FUTURE PLANS

Our staff and leaders are keeping a watchful eye on how and when we will be allowed to hold services again and what the regulations will be. We will continue to plan and make arrangements for when the day comes and we hope to have a plan and some more details to share with our church family this coming Sunday. We will make the best possible decision based on our people’s spiritual and physical health. We are praying for God’s guidance in this process and encourage you to continue in prayer with us.

PASTOR SEARCH

Our pastor search committee has been praying and seeking God’s guidance in their search and have narrowed the search to one candidate. While the current situation has forced the process to pause, the committee and our pastoral candidate have been in regular contact each week and are still both eager to present him to the church as soon as we are able. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement for our committee and the man God has for us throughout this process.

GIVING

Thank you again for your faithfulness in giving as God has laid on your hearts to give over these past few weeks. God is continuing to do big things in and through Pilgrim Home Baptist Church and we are excited to continue to be a part of that. Here are a few reminders on the ways we can continue to give:

1.)    You can give by cash or check in the office on Mondays and Tuesdays.

2.)    You can drop off your gift in the white lockbox on the awning side door of the church.

3.)    You can give online by visiting our website www.pilgrimhomewicksburg.org or by clicking on the link on our Facebook page. (There is a small transaction charge for online gifts).

YOUTH MINISTRY

Our students our continuing to be engaged together in worship, Bible study, and games together each Wednesday night at 6:00 with a live-stream on our youth Facebook page; Epicministries – PHBC.
